Meet Anjali
I teach Indian cuisine to people who want to boost their cooking skills and discover the beautiful and delicious vegan lifestyle
Hey!
My name is Anjali, I was born and raised in India and now live in a city called Grenoble in France! My close friends call me Anj, my followers call me Dr. Butterfingers for being clumsy af, so you can pick what you prefer or even come up with new nicknames! (Someone even called me Mini Chili. LOL.)
I am a passionate cook, in love with the food from my country and the community that comes with it. I also feel people are super intimidated by Indian cooking, which I want to change! That is why 3 years ago, I started my page: to share with all of you my passion and show how delicious and easy-to-make Indian vegan food can be. Nobody needs to compromise on flavour when it comes to food and spices should be our super power! My mission is to spread my love for food and especially Indian cooking to as many people as possible worldwide!
I consider myself a very high-energy and super goofy person. I have many passions such as dancing and traveling, but most of all, I love food and I love cooking!

How I Got Here
I began cooking for myself when I started University in India. It was my very first time living away from family, without the luxury of mom's home-cooked meals. Things got even harder when I moved to Europe for my master's thesis in Austria, followed by a PhD in France. You can imagine how living on your own in a whole different continent may affect your feelings around belongingness, nostalgia and food. That's why I decided to take the time and learn little by little how to cook Indian food, starting with burnt rice and potatoes back in University in India to full-fledged multi-course meals now. Once I got confident, I started sharing my food online and my content started to resonate with people. With time, I grew a large audience interested in learning the skills and techniques that I possess. I decided to help them get to where I am by building this course. So here I am!
So far, I am very proud to say that I have recorded more than 300 recipes on my social media accounts, and I want to continue to spread the love for what food can mean! :)

That's why I had to give me a treat and learn how to eat properly and not miss my origins. However, I realized that I grew such a big audience that I can help so many people fall in love with my cuisine. So here I am!

Why I Do It
Many people come to me saying that they want to improve their lifestyle and their health, to stop the vicious cycle of ordering takeaway day in and day out, and finally start cooking tasty foods that make them feel good. Some want to spend less on eating out and save more money by cooking at home! Many others are just genuinely interested in learning a cuisine they previously thought was impossible to learn!
These are all super valid motivations to get into cooking, and there is nothing that gives me more satisfaction than enabling my students to achieve these goals, while also sharing my roots and origins.

Fun Facts About Me
I love nature
I belong to the part of India that is known for its greenery. I have such fond memories of playing with my cousins in the lush green surroundings of my hometown, and always winning at hide and seek ;)
I am an introvert
People see me talking in videos, creating content with a strong voice on the internet, and assume I'm a very social person. In reality, I'm very shy and quite an introvert. I find it hard to initiate conversations in a social setting and being with a lot of people or big parties are draining for me!
I used to hate cooking, not anymore!
Surprise, surprise! I grew up not entering the kitchen much. Cooking just never interested me. As I grew up though, I realised the importance of cooking and started seeing it as a life skill. Soon it became my passion and the rest is history.
Fun Facts About Me
I love nature
I was raised in a village in which green was the dominant color. I have such great memories about spending my afternoons playing in the open fields with my friends, and always winning at hide and seek ;)
I like walks
In the same fields I used to win at hide and seek, I was great at walking too! My dad and I spent so much time walking around, especially during spring season, with flowers all around
I love cooking
I have always enjoyed watching my family cook, it was something that the whole family gathered around and everybody was doing his part. Now, it is for me a great occasion to put all my friends around a table and enjoy our time. At the same time, it allows me to know and control what I eat, with great benefits in terms of health.
